Viva VPN is a popular mobile VPN, and many people who use it on their phone want the same thing on their computer. That is why “Viva VPN for PC” and “Viva VPN for Windows” are such common searches. The short answer is that there is no official Viva VPN app for Windows today. Below we explain what we found on Viva VPN’s own websites and app store listings, the risks of the unofficial “Viva VPN for PC” downloads, and a free Viva VPN alternative that runs natively on Windows.

What is Viva VPN?

Viva VPN is a mobile VPN app for Android and iPhone. Like any VPN, it sends your traffic through one of its servers, so the websites you visit see the server’s IP address instead of yours. If you want to see what websites see right now, check your current IP address.

The most downloaded version is the Viva VPN app on Google Play, which shows more than 10 million downloads. Its description lists a faster connection, censorship resistance, “advanced and up to date protocols” and servers in several regions.

Is there a Viva VPN for PC?

No. As of September 25, 2026, neither of the official Viva VPN websites offers a Windows or Mac app.

  • The vivavpn.com download page only lists an iOS app and an Android app. Its FAQ says: “Currently, the VPN is available on iOS and Android devices. Support for additional platforms is under development and will be released in future updates.”
  • The vivavpn.pro website, which the Google Play app links to, only offers a Google Play download and a Telegram channel.

So any file that calls itself “Viva VPN for PC”, “Viva VPN for Windows 10” or “Viva VPN for Windows 11” does not come from either official Viva VPN site.

Two different apps use the Viva VPN name

This part confuses a lot of people. The app stores list two separate VPN apps under the Viva VPN name, from two different developers:

  • Viva VPN on Google Play (the one linked from vivavpn.pro). The listing shows more than 10 million downloads, a 4.1 star rating from about 56,000 reviews, and a “Contains ads” label. When we checked, the listing said it was last updated on December 15, 2025, and several recent reviews said the servers were not connecting.
  • Viva VPN on the App Store from EliteCore (HK) Limited, the company named on vivavpn.com. The App Store listing describes it as a VPN for iPhone and iPad and says it has 1000+ servers in 50+ countries. The Android download on vivavpn.com points to a different Google Play app from the same company.

Neither developer offers a Windows app, so the answer to “Viva VPN for PC” is the same for both.

Is Viva VPN free?

It depends on which app you mean.

The Google Play app is free to download and shows ads. The EliteCore app is free to install, but the vivavpn.com pricing page lists a free Basic plan with “30min of secure browsing” and a paid VPN Pro subscription with weekly, monthly and yearly options. The same page says subscriptions are managed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless you cancel.

Can you run Viva VPN on Windows with an emulator?

Some guides suggest installing an Android emulator such as BlueStacks and running the Viva VPN Android app inside it. It can work, but it has two big downsides:

  1. It only covers the emulator. A VPN app running inside an Android emulator generally only tunnels the traffic of apps inside that emulator. Your Windows browser and other desktop apps still use your normal connection, so your real IP address is still visible to them.
  2. It adds another piece of software to trust. Before you install an emulator, read our guide on whether BlueStacks is safe.

If you want your whole PC to be protected, you need a VPN that runs as a native Windows app.

Why to skip unofficial Viva VPN for PC downloads

Search for “Viva VPN download” and you will find third-party download sites offering Viva VPN files. Neither official Viva VPN site publishes a Windows version, so you cannot tell who built these files or what they contain.

A VPN sees all of your internet traffic, so it is the last app you want to install from an unknown source. A fake VPN installer is an easy way to spread malware. If you have already installed one, follow our steps on how to prevent malware and scan your PC.

A good rule: only install Viva VPN on your phone, from Google Play or the App Store. For your computer, use a VPN that publishes its own Windows app.

Viva VPN alternative for Windows: EonVPN

If you are looking for a Viva VPN alternative for PC, EonVPN is a free VPN built for Windows. You download it directly from the official EonVPN download page, not from a third-party site.

Here is what EonVPN offers today, according to eonvpn.com:

  • Free to use. There is no need to add a credit card or any other payment method.
  • A native Windows app. You install it on your PC like any other Windows program, with no emulator needed.
  • Encrypted connection. Your data stays encrypted while you are connected.
  • No data selling. The EonVPN privacy policy says: “We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any information that we might have about you.” It only asks for your email and a password to create an account.
  • Servers in the US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Hong Kong and more.

We also want to be clear about how EonVPN stays free. As explained on the EonVPN download page, it remains free by sharing a tiny fraction of your internet connection for secure enterprise traffic. Your own data remains encrypted.

EonVPN is only available on Windows for now. So a common setup is Viva VPN (or another mobile VPN) on your phone, and EonVPN on your PC.

Here is a quick side by side, based on what each service publishes today:

Getting started takes a few minutes:

  1. Download EonVPN and install it on your Windows PC.
  2. Open the app and create your EonVPN account.
  3. Select a server and click Connect.

Once you are connected, open What is my IP to confirm that your IP address has changed. It is also worth checking that your VPN does not leak DNS requests. Here is how to prevent DNS leaks with a VPN. If you only need a new IP address and not a VPN, our guide on how to change your IP address on Windows covers other methods.

Conclusion

There is no official Viva VPN for PC. Both Viva VPN websites only offer apps for Android and iOS, and the “Viva VPN for Windows” files on download sites are not published by either developer. Running the Android app in an emulator only protects the emulator. If you want a VPN for your whole Windows PC, download EonVPN for free and connect in a few minutes.
